Who we are
ANSAC is a non profit technical-scientific association that was founded in 2004 by a group of companies associated with Federambiente (Federambiente is the national Association pooling over 270 public utility operators in the environmental sector belonging to various company forms) and Federambiente itself. Its goal is to promote and broaden environmental awareness, focusing attention on surveillance and monitoring activities in addition to providing support to both public and private operators.

The association's principle objectives include the following:

• co-ordinating research, designing environmental project and the execution of specific operations that are of a particular scientific or the technological nature regarding the environment
• developing and standardizing sampling methods, the analysis and the processing of the data obtained
• exchanging experience and know-how with national and international partners
• providing continuous information and training on what concerns several environmental themes
• providing training and updates on environmental issues with particular attention to the aspects of monitoring and environmental surveillance

The Associates
The Association is composed of a number of different members, among which, single persons, companies and institutions. The professionals represented are numerous (engineers, biologists, forest rangers, geologists, chemists, etc.); the association prides itself on making this its strength.
